Doing much better...

Lillie is feeling better (YEAH!) and at this point we only have one breathing treatment left. Maybe we'll all stay healthy for a long while. It has literally been a month of the crud going around my house in one form or another. I'm ready for everyone to return to normal (whatever the heck that is). I've been going stir crazy in the house so I really want to do some fun stuff this week!





Speaking of doing fun stuff, that's what we did today. It was Rita/Grandma's birthday last week and we celebrated today with a picnic in Landa park (a hotspot for us lately). It turned out to be a pretty day even though it rained last night and a little this morning. Lillie enjoyed seeing everyone and looking at all of the things around the park. We enjoyed it too!

poor pudgie

Well, I am feeling better, but poor Lillie got worse. We woke up Wednesday morning to her eyes being stuck shut from tons of goopy stuff. We took her to the dr's office and it turns out she has complications from congestion and allergies. She's on breathing treatments with a nebulizer a couple of times a day. We also got eye drops for her and that has already cleared up! She doesn't seem to mind the breathing treatments at all, she laughs and tries to lick the face mask. It's pretty cute! I had to take a couple of pictures...

One funny thing the dr said after checking her height/weight on the percentile chart..."Oh, she's growing much faster than we anticipated!". Pudgie weighs 16lbs 10oz and is 25" long. She is quickly outgrowing her 3-6month clothes and has gone up to a size 3 in disposable diapers. I have to buy some more cloth diaper covers too, her little thighs are just too fat!! Oh well, at least she's healthy!

Spring Photos

We had our pictures taken about 2 weeks ago with a photographer in Landa park which is in New Braunfels. I ordered all of the images on a cd. I have uploaded them to our snapfish account, but I am also going to order some prints from a more professional photo finishing service. in the beginning

OK, here begins my attempt in keeping a blog. I am hoping to post updates with the lovely miss Lillie and other new stuff going on with our family. I've been sending individual update emails, so I'm hoping that by blogging our friends and family will be able to check in on us whenever they have the time or inclination. I just hope I actually keep it updated!!

I am just getting over some kind of flu/viral infection/ear infection which has kept me down for the last two weeks. I'm filled with all kinds of energy today. We had a nice Easter yesterday. We stayed inside because the oak pollen is out of control and we are all suffering from runny noses and sneezing. It's so beautiful outside and I'm hoping we will be able to take advantage of the nice weather this week.
