some pictures from the 35mm

I got some 35mm film developed today. I have taken them during the last few months. I usually shot with the 35mm when the digi's batteries were dead. I always end up loving them so much more than the digital prints. Probably because I don't spend the $$$ for a nice SLR. One day maybe.

So, I realize this blog is quickly becoming my bulletin board of Lillie pics du jour. I guess the images do a pretty good job of telling the story. Plus if you know me very well, than you know that I love my cameras! I can't wait for tomorrow, we are going to a 1 year old's birthday party at a petty zoo. FUN! I'm sure I'll have a boat load of pictures to upload on Sunday. :)

I am so very in love with these...

food

We have been letting Lillie experiment with some foods. Licking bananas and avacado came first. This past week we tried pears and sweet potato baby food. She really likes eating and tasting different things. I let her lick on an apple slice tonight and she really loved that. She loves the spoon the most...

She's also constantly grabbing her toes...seriously...all the time. Look at baby jabba! The picture is at a funny angle since her butt is sunken down in the bouncer, but still...look at those rolls!

getting big

Yes, I know it's been almost 2 weeks since my last post. Time flies, that's all I can say. Enough about me, let's talk Lillie!

She officially turned 5 months last Friday. She seems to get bigger and change somehow, some way every day. She's getting big right before my eyes. She sits up really well, although she seems to be working on balance and has been purposely making herself tip over to see if she can get back up. She can roll back to front, and front to back easily. And she continues to grow hair at an amazing pace. ;) No teeth yet, but has every sign of teething. We've been experimenting with different foods, letting her sample bananas, avacado, and tonight she had pears. She really seems to enjoy the food and is always trying to get stuff off our plate. Sleeping is good some nights and bad others. It's been a few not-so-good one's lately and I'm really tired, so I'm going to show you some pictures from this week and go to bed. Goodnight!

My class in New Braunfels was cancelled on Sunday, so Grandad offered to heat up the pool and let us go swimming! This was the first time for Lillie to swim in a big pool! She did fairly well...a little grumpy due to lack of sleep. We had a cup for her to play with (her FAVORITE in the bath!). When she would start to fuss, I would make the cup float and she would try to get it. Overall, I think it was a successful first swimming adventure. My goal is to try swimming twice a week this summer. Isaac had a BLAST! He splashed, kicked his legs, and laughed a lot.

A Busy Week

We've had a busy week. Making up for last month, I suppose. We went to Laura's, (see below) and had a great time. We also went to an art opening and lecture for Rita. Nana babysat on Friday while I had to teach a colored pencil class at Stamp Antonio. Today we went to the Wee World sale at the live oak convention center. Everything was pretty much picked over, but I did manage to get about 10 piece of clothes for $20. The downside to that was that I waited in line for 45 minutes to check out. I don't know if it was worth it. We also went to the AP garage sale and helped out. Ok, I admit it...I shopped there too. We picked up a baby seat for a bicycle, a BUNCH of clothes, and some really cute shoes (including a pair of Teva sandles for Lil for $2!). It was great spending some time together as a family and Paco got to meet some of the nice ladies I always mention.

Little miss Lillie is starting to sit up by herself. She still falls over, but she lasts a bit longer every day. You can tell her muscles are getting much stronger because she sits up straighter too. She really enjoys sitting up and reaching for her toys (which she's starting to take more of an interest in too!). Really, she reaches for EVERYTHING now. Her favorites to touch are faces, hands, remotes, cell phones (to Paco's dismay), the birdie kick chimes, and the Tigger plush toy really seemed to grab her attention. She's growing so fast!!

Leave us a comment if you get a chance! We like to know that you dropped by for a "visit"!

Isn't she cute!!! She was watching Sam out the window and would NOT look at me...

fun at the deharts

We got to spend time with family this week over at the Dehart's. The cousins haven't played together (except for Easter) in almost a month. It's toy heaven over there and Lillie had a blast exploring some of Isaac's fun stuff. We got to see Laura, Brad, Isaac, daddy, auntie Beanie, Nana and even Grandad! What a treat!
