a non-lillie post

Ok, here's a non-Lillie post for once. I've had a really good past couple of days and want to share!

First, on Sunday my boss hosted an event for store owners where they came and made samples, watched demonstrations on different products, were able to chat with other store owners, and also to place orders (YEAH!). I had several of my stores attend (6 I think), one I had never met before, and another was a new owner. I haven't spent all day on my feet since leaving the retail world last year. It was also the longest I've been without Lillie. I also scheduled two teaching gigs within the next couple of months. Looks like my Saturdays are just about booked through the end of September. Today, I spent the whole day entering orders (such a lovely problem to have).

Secondly, I entered a father's day photo contest and won second place! The contest was sponsored by a local lady who sells cloth diapers, baby wearing gear, and other great baby items. I entered this picture

and got second place! Yeah, how cool is that? Her website is Go Baby Go. Scroll down to the bottom to see the photo contest. I won a pair of sandals for Lillie.

Another lovely thing happened...I made my first sale on Etsy!! I opened the account ages ago and never did anything with it. I finally took pictures of all the charms I have laying around and uploaded them. I have lots of other goodies just taking up space that I need to sell too. Having a first purchase so fast is encouraging me to make it happen sooner than later.

And one of the things I am the most excited about is an email from Ellen today. My heart has warm fuzzies.
